Prof. Ashraf Elsafty – Founder
Strategist, Principal Investigator, Author, Reviewer, Editor, and Professor of Strategic Management and Research Methods, focusing on conceptualization and design of rigorous mixed research methods, generating and validating new models for multidisciplinary topics.
About 30 years of experience, with around 20 years’ research and strategy management related, acting as Senior Top Executive in the field of Planning & Strategies, while acting as a Principal Consultant, for number of reputed organizations in the Arab Region. In addition, more than 15 years of teaching experience, currently teaching Professor, conducting and supervising scientific research, with focus on Research Methods using Quantitative/Qualitative/Mixed Methods. Teaching Scientific Research and Strategic Management with number of reputed academic universities, with focus on teaching ‘Research Methods’ at ESLSCA University Egypt/Paris www.eslsca.edu.eg , Faculty of Engineering Cairo University www.eng.cu.edu.eg , GUC-German University in Cairo www.guc.edu.eg and MsM Maastricht School of Management Netherlands www.msm.nl .
Acting and leading the conceptualization and design of rigorous research studies, analytical frameworks, monitoring and evaluation for wide range of research projects. Dr. Elsafty provided technical assistance, guidance, mentorship, quality reviews and oversight of research for multidisciplinary topics. He oversaw and advised on the analysis of quantitative/qualitative data, and contributed to the design and conduct of mixed methods research. Contributing to the development of publications, including in-house publications, reports to beneficiaries, and published articles. Working in consultancy, with major focus on research and strategy related aspects, he helps profit and nonprofit organizations through building their research capacity, maximizing their learning skills and ability to conduct scientific research successfully. Some of his research activities include academic supervision for master degree thesis and doctoral dissertations; in line with being a principal investigator focusing on the field of ‘Research Methods’ for various scientific/professional domains. Dr. Elsafty is the director of the research center in SeGa Group, leading a team of educational scientific researchers, generating new models from science using basic research in line with professional practice, and testing such models using applied research within professional practice too; all of which contributes to the publication of books and scientific papers.
Current labs include major research projects; developing new Research Methods book, a holistic reference textbook on all scientific research steps to develop rigorous applied research on different disciplines, covering social and physical sciences. as a full text book covering the scientific steps using ‘Deductive’ reasoning to develop ‘Applied’ research, with several multidisciplinary cases and examples, using ‘Quantitative & Qualitative’ techniques. Book chapters covers the main research steps of problem definition, literature review process, research design elements, data collection sources and methods, data analysis techniques, and finally writing conclusions and findings.
